Job summary

Altera Digital Health Inc. is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize complex enterprise networks across on‑prem, data center, cloud, and hybrid environments from a remote United States-based location.

You will lead network initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable connectivity and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise networking and network security.
• Strong experience with LAN/WAN, cloud networking, data center, SD-WAN, and hybrid environments.
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, network security, and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support scalable LAN, WAN, data center, cloud, and hybrid networks.
• Provide advanced expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VXLAN/EVPN, VPN, QoS, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Lead troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate on network architecture, technology evaluation, and modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain network standards, configuration templates, diagrams, and documentation.
• Implement network security, segmentation, resiliency, and performance improvements.
