Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Hydraulics Business Development Leader – Dams Market to lead the growth of our hydraulic engineering practice in Louisville, KY and other U.S.

locations. The role emphasizes leadership, technical excellence, and strategic business development across national dam projects. The candidate will oversee hydraulic modeling, spillway design, risk assessments, and client engagement, while mentoring staff and expanding the firm’s presence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in water resources or environmental eng (required).
• Professional licensure (P.E.) required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in engineering consulting focusing on dams and levees (15+ preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to grow a hydraulic engineering practice within the Dams and Levees area.
• Coordinate with engineers nationwide to support dam/levee projects and staff growth.
• Lead business development, client management, and mentoring of junior staff.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals; participate in presentations at industry conferences.
