Job summary

FranklinCovey is seeking a Principal HR Business Partner (Sr. Director level) to align human capital strategies with business objectives in the Education division. This role acts as a strategic advisor and hands-on contributor, partnering with leaders at all levels to drive organizational effectiveness and implement HR initiatives.

The Principal HRBP may oversee enterprise-wide programs. The position reports to the SVP, People Services and requires remote work from anywhere in the contiguous US,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in HR including 3-4 years managing an HR Team or Center of Excellence.
• MBA or Master’s in Organizational Development
• SHRM certification
• Experience in Education institutions or programs
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
• Proficiency in HRIS and data analysis tools
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations
• Deep business acumen and understanding of organizational strategy
• Demonstrates leadership and influence without direct authority
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Maintains confidentiality and ethical standards

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies.
• Business Strategy: Provide insights on business strategy using deep business acumen and organizational dynamics.
• Talent Management: Lead talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies.
• Employee Relations: Provide guidance on employee relations, ensuring policy compliance.
• Performance Management: Drive performance reviews and development plans.
• Organizational Development: Address needs including change management and leadership development.
• Data Analysis: Use HR metrics to inform decision-making.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Project Management: Lead HR projects with timely execution.
• Travel: Occasional travel required to meet business needs.
