Workiva is seeking a Principal Experience Designer to shape the Unify design system for its enterprise SaaS platform. You will lead visual direction, token architecture, and reference designs while delivering high-visibility work for conferences, partnerships, and executive audiences.

The role emphasizes deep craft, systems thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product or visual design for platform or enterprise products.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field.
• Portfolio showing scalable design systems and visual craft.
• Experience with AI-assisted design or prototyping workflows.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Unify's visual language across typography, color, spacing, iconography, motion.
• Coordinate with components and patterns teams to ensure consistent visuals across assets.
• Collaborate with product design, PM, and engineering to translate system decisions to production.
• Maintain semantic token architecture to support consistent experiences across products.
• Lead visual design for high-stakes moments like conferences and executive presentations.
• Coach designers and influence cross-functional partners.
