Job summary

Workiva is seeking a Principal Experience Designer to shape Unify, our enterprise design system. You will lead Unify's visual direction 60-70% of the time and drive token architecture, reference designs, and guidance that scale across Workiva's B2B platform.

The remaining 30-40% focuses on high-visibility visuals for conferences, marketing partnerships, and executive audiences. You will bring exceptional visual craft, systems thinking, and a practical view on evolving design systems for

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product/visual design for enterprise platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field (or 8 years with Master's; or PhD with 6 years).

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve Unify's visual language across typography, color, spacing, iconography, motion and brand expression.
• Partner with components, patterns and templates sub-teams to ensure consistent visual design across assets.
• Collaborate with product design, product management and engineering to translate system design into production.
• Maintain scalable token architecture for consistent experiences.
• Create and maintain reference designs and guidance for designers, engineers and AI workflows.
• Lead visual design for high-stakes moments like conferences and executive presentations.
• Coach designers and influence cross-functional partners with strong visual storytelling.
