Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Designer to lead experience strategy for the Workiva Platform. This senior role shapes the long-term vision, focusing on AI experiences, systems thinking, and workflow transformation across enterprise use cases.

You will partner with product and engineering leadership to design scalable patterns, evolve design systems, and mentor designers. Remote by default with travel up to 25% as needed; compensation includes bonus, RSUs, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product design, UX, or related fields, with significant work on platform or enterprise products.
• Able to lead at senior level across multi-year design initiatives and complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform UX strategy across the Workiva Platform, aligning with product strategy and business goals.
• Shape AI-powered experiences, including generative interfaces and decision-support workflows.
• Rethink workflows to simplify complex enterprise use cases and improve efficiency.
• Design human-in-the-loop moments with clear trust and oversight in AI-enabled processes.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to influence platform direction and data flows.
• Advance design systems and governance for consistency and scalability across products.
• Mentor senior designers and raise craft standards across the organization.
• Collaborate across UX, product, and research teams to drive user-centered outcomes.
