Kin Insurance seeks a Pricing & Risk Analyst to transform policy, quote, and claims data into actionable growth insights. You’ll work with state managers to identify profitable opportunities, build state performance dashboards, and automate recurring reports using Claude Code and Databricks Genie.

This entry-level role emphasizes learning insurance metrics, pricing, and risk analysis in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Foundational SQL skills and proficiency with Excel.
• Experience analyzing data to identify patterns and explain findings.
• Hands-on use of AI for analytical or coding tasks and willingness to work with Claude Code, Databricks Genie, and MCP-enabled workflows.
• Ability to explain findings in plain language and work with guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own recurring state performance reporting on quote volume, quote-to-bind conversion, and premium metrics.
• Analyze performance by geography, risk characteristics, coverage, and distribution channels.
• Evaluate how rate changes and underwriting shifts affect growth and profitability.
• Use Claude Code and Databricks Genie to write SQL queries and automate recurring reports.
• Deliver clear charts and concise summaries for Pricing and Risk and partner teams.
• Measure performance after pricing and product changes go live.
