Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales System Engineer Intern to work closely with our Communications Systems Engineers. You will help design and present technical solutions from concept through implementation for customer requirements.

The role emphasizes collaboration across sales, product development, and project management, with exposure to RF, radio systems, and networking topics. This internship offers remote work in the Northeast region and a path toward professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with an expected graduation date on or after December 2027; returning to school in Fall 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; employer sponsorship is not available.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Experience/ Knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.
• Experience/ Knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable.
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/ or Amateur Radio/ HAM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• In cooperation with sales, product development, and project management, develop technical strategies and generate proposals for customers.
• Coordinate with design and planning of customer solutions using advanced technologies and provide technical support during pre-sales.
• Involves coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, system architecture design, equipment selection, proposal generation, and presentations to customers.
• Engaged in the implementation of these solutions as originally conceived.
• Take responsibility for all technical aspects of the assigned project from award until system acceptance.
• Involves implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing, and system staging.
• Keep sales professionals and customers up to date on Motorola Solutions' latest technology offerings and relevance to customer needs.
