Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales System Engineer Intern to work with our Communications Systems Engineers from concept to implementation. You will help design radio communication solutions, consult with customers to determine requirements, and support senior engineers in mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities include developing technical strategies with sales and product teams, coordinating solution design, selecting sites and frequencies, and helping with system acceptance testing.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Experience/ knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.
• Experience/ knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable.
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/ or Amateur Radio/HAM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical strategies and generate proposals with sales and product teams.
• Coordinate with design and planning of customer solutions.
• Involves site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, and system design.
• Involves implementation planning, system acceptance testing, and staging.
• Keep sales and customers updated on Motorola's latest technology offerings.
