Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales System Engineer Intern to collaborate with our Communications Systems Engineers from concept to implementation, ensuring solutions meet customer needs. The role offers mentorship, exposure to RF, networks, and pre-sales strategies, with remote full-time scheduling for students returning to school in Fall 2027.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Returning to school in the Fall of 2027 is expected.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required; sponsorship is not available.
• Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Experience/ knowledge in radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.
• Experience/ knowledge of communications networks (MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP) is desirable.
• Certifications through CCNA, CompTIA, and/ or Amateur Radio/HAM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• In cooperation with sales, product development, and project management they develop technical strategies and generate proposals to customers presenting Motorola's solution.
• Provide coordination with the design and planning of the customer solutions using advanced technologies and provide technical support throughout the pre-sales phase of the project.
• Involves coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, design of system architecture, equipment selection, proposal generation, and presentations of proposed solutions to customer.
• Engaged in the implementation of these solutions as originally conceived.
• Take responsibility for all technical aspects of the assigned project from award until system acceptance.
• Involves implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing, and system staging.
• Work to ensure that the our sales professionals and customers are kept up to date on the latest technology offerings from Motorola Solutions and their relevance to customer needs.
