Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Presales System Engineer Intern to work closely with our Communication Systems Engineers, from concept to implementation, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements.

You will help develop technical proposals, coordinate with design and planning, perform site selection, frequency planning, and system acceptance testing, while learning from senior engineers and mentoring juniors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with expected graduation date on or after December 2027.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely; no sponsorship.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
• Experience working with customers is desirable.
• Knowledge of radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, microwave, and/or networking is desirable.
• Knowledge of MPLS, Ethernet, TCP/IP networks is desirable.
• Certifications CCNA, CompTIA, HAM are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical strategies and generate proposals with sales, product development, and project management.
• Coordinate with design and planning of customer solutions using advanced technologies.
• Involves coverage and antenna site selection, frequency planning, interference analysis, system architecture design, equipment selection, proposal generation, and presentations.
• Engaged in the implementation of these solutions as originally conceived.
• Take responsibility for all technical aspects from award until system acceptance.
• Involves implementation planning, system acceptance testing, coverage testing, and system staging.
• Keep sales professionals and customers updated on Motorola's latest technology offerings.
