Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Presales Storage Architect focused on unstructured data and hybrid cloud to guide customers in architecture choices and roadmaps.

The role is primarily remote, with extensive collaboration across product teams and customers to design scalable file and object storage platforms, AI data pipelines, and RAG-enabled solutions that deliver performance and data accessibility at scale. Travel to customer locations and partner sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing unstructured storage solutions.
• Proven expertise with file protocols NFS & SMB, and S3.
• Solid understanding of object storage technologies and APIs.
• Demonstrated experience planning and executing POCs.
• Hands-on with AI data pipelines including inferencing and RAG, storage tuning for large performance-sensitive workloads.

Responsibilities

• Architect and document enterprise-grade file and object storage solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Lead and execute POCs to evaluate performance, scalability, and integration across platforms.
• Design storage architectures supporting AI and data processing workloads, including inferencing and RAG pipelines.
• Collaborate with product management to capture feedback and influence roadmap.
• Provide thought leadership, competitive analysis, and positioning strategies.
• Present technical solutions to executive and technical audiences.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of unstructured storage trends and cloud storage integration.
• Support pre-sales engagements, RFIs/RFPs, and solution justification.
