Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a proactive Pre-Planning Advisor to build relationships with families, present pre-need options, and generate referrals. You will work in the field and at events, balancing timely client follow-up with compassionate service.

The role emphasizes prospecting, strong communication, and teamwork with the Funeral Director and location staff to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Sales experience or 1–2 years industry experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and independently; willingness to work beyond standard hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead generation and networking to gain referrals for both at-need and pre-need arrangements.
• Prospect families via events, door-knocking or seminars to meet daily activity goals.
• Present planning guides and follow up with families for referrals and satisfaction.
• Build community relationships and maintain timely, professional client communication.
• Coordinate with Funeral Directors and staff to ensure seamless service and sales.
