Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks a Pre-Litigation Associate - Of Counsel (Remote) to handle pre-litigation matters, including demand letters and records requests, with responsibility for analysis, client contact, and settlements.

The role requires CA bar admission, strong drafting/communication skills, and 9+ years for Of Counsel, or 4+ years for Associate, with a fully remote, nationwide scope.

Qualifications

• Admission to the CA state bar and compliance with ethical requirements.
• Good standing with the bar.
• 4+ years of experience in California employment litigation for Associate role.
• 9+ years of relevant experience for Of Counsel level.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and balance competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Ability to collaborate across Legal Support, Operations, and Attorney teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Independently respond to demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.
• Assess claims and provide analysis to clients and carriers.
• Engage in direct client and carrier contact for response handling.
• Participate in settlement activities, including attending mediations.
• Collaborate with the Professional Development team to deliver work products to clients.
• Complete client and firm-related administrative tasks.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
