Job summary

The E-J Group is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager for its Clean Energy Division. This remote role owns the preconstruction phase from award through mobilization, acting as the link between estimating and project execution.

You will ensure scope, budget, schedule, and constructability carry from bid to field, serving as the single accountable point for project readiness before field mobilization. You will lead preconstruction activities, validate scope and cost, coordinate procurement and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years electrical construction experience in estimating, design/build estimating, and preconstruction, with a concentration in large commercial construction.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of project management experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction activities for the Clean Energy Division projects from award to mobilization.
• Validate scope and cost, de-risk schedules, coordinate procurement and permitting, and hand off mobilization-ready projects to the field team.
• Lead constructability reviews and cost estimates; manage bidding and project team alignment.
• Prepare budgets, estimates, and bid proposals; monitor cost and schedule performance.
• Report preconstruction status to VP and Division Manager.
