Job summary

PSC is seeking a Power System Studies Consultant for the USA. You will work on power system analyses, including generation interconnection, voltage stability, and HVDC considerations, within a global team.

The role supports autonomy, leadership potential, and a path for career growth while offering hybrid or remote work from the US. You should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years in power systems, and PJM Interconnection experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on power systems.
• Four (4)+ years of experience in power systems engineering and an understanding of power networks, including generation and transmission planning.
• Two (2) years of PJM Interconnection experience, can be in conjunction with above experience
• Experience with network simulation software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerWorld, DigSILENT, PSLF is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing power system analysis and network modeling to meet client specifications in reliability, regulation, and quality requirements.
• Conducting studies in generation interconnection, voltage stability, arc-flash energy, insulation coordination, and power station design.
• Preparing detailed technical reports and contributing to technical work products.
• Collaborating with a global team to execute studies and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Managing client relationships and expectations, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
• Contributing to business development activities and identifying new client opportunities.
