Jacobs in the United States is seeking an electrical engineer to perform power system studies for utility-scale renewable projects, from load flow to interconnection analyses, working with North America teams and clients including developers, utilities, and ISOs/RTOs.

Requirements include a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of experience, proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP and PSCAD, and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience with system studies on utility-scale renewable projects.
• Experience with power system studies using PSS/E, ETAP and PSCAD or equivalents.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CIGRE standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a focus achieving results.
• Team player with great interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel within North America.

Responsibilities

• Perform power system studies for plant and interconnection.
• Support projects from proposal to execution and close-out.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with North America and global teams.
• Engage with renewable developers, utilities, ISOs/RTOs; participate in IEEE/CIGRE.
