Jacobs in the United States is seeking a qualified Power Systems Engineer to join our North America team. You will perform utility-scale studies and support interconnection analyses for wind, solar and other grid modernization projects across North America.

The position requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with PSS/E, ETAP and PSCAD. Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CIGRE standards, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 4 years of direct experience with system studies on utility-scale renewable projects.
• Experience with power system studies using PSS/E, ETAP and PSCAD.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE and CIGRE standards.

Mansioni

• Perform power system studies for plant internal analysis (load flow, short circuit, harmonic studies).
• Perform external interconnection studies to meet interconnection requirements and NERC standards.
• Support project lifecycle from proposals to execution and close-out.
• Contribute to on-time, on-budget delivery with North American and global teams.
• Engage with clients including renewables, utilities, and ISOs/RTOs; participate in IEEE/CIGRE forums.
