Job summary

Leidos' Power Delivery Solutions is hiring an Electrical Engineer, Microgrid Systems to serve as the Engineer of Record for complete microgrid system designs. The role focuses on detailed electrical design and system integration across PV, BESS, generators, MV/LV distribution, protection and controls interfaces.

This hands‑on role requires EOR-level responsibility for microgrid or DER projects from concept through construction support, interfacing with clients, EPCs and vendors to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
• 4–8 years of detailed electrical design and system integration (EOR level).
• Experience integrating PV, BESS and generators into one system.
• MV/LV distribution design, protection coordination, interconnection design.
• Knowledge of controls/SCADA interfaces relevant to electrical design.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record for microgrid designs, owning system‑level integration.
• Develop detailed electrical deliverables: diagrams, equipment specs, protection studies, interconnection designs.
• Integrate MV/LV distribution with generation/storage, ensuring interconnection compliance.
• Coordinate protection scheme design and controls/SCADA interfaces across multiple vendors.
• Lead technical reviews of EPC and OEM deliverables.
• Interface with clients, EPCs, and vendors to resolve design issues.
• Support permitting, interconnection applications, and utility coordination.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews for microgrid/DER projects.
