Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an accomplished Senior Power Systems Analyst to join our remote team, delivering analytical expertise to optimize grid performance and reliability across energy networks. You will conduct studies on grid stability, load forecasting, power flow and fault analysis, develop models with industry tools, and present findings to engineers and management.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus.
8+ years of experience in power system analysis and planning.
Proficiency in PSS/E, PowerFactory or EMTP-RV.
Strong understanding of grid codes and dynamics.
Ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams.
Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, and protection coordination analyses.
Develop and validate power system models using industry-standard software packages.
Analyze grid performance data, identify potential issues, and recommend mitigation strategies.
Contribute to the planning and integration of new generation resources, including renewables.
Assist in the development of operational guidelines and procedures to enhance grid reliability.
Prepare technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
