Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems design for a fully remote opportunity. Based anywhere, you will design, analyze, and specify electrical infrastructure for diverse client projects with focus on reliability and efficiency.

The role requires strong knowledge of power distribution, protection, and control, plus excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or B.Sc in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical power systems design.
• Proficiency with ETAP, CYME or DIgSILENT PowerFactory; AutoCAD experience for electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical design for medium and low voltage power distribution systems.
• Develop single-line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and wiring details using CAD software.
• Conduct power system studies including load flow, short circuit analysis, and protection coordination.
• Prepare technical specifications, equipment schedules, and BOMs.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE standards and local regulations.
• Provide technical support during procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Review designs from external consultants and vendors for compliance and quality.
