Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Electrical Design Engineer to join our globally distributed engineering team. You will design electrical systems and contribute to product development from a home office.

The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 6+ years’ experience, expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout and power electronics, plus strong independent work and remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical design engineering.
• Proven expertise in schematic capture, PCB layout, and power electronics design.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and digital/analog circuit design.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems, circuits, and schematics for new product development and system upgrades using industry-standard software.
• Conduct detailed analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure system performance, safety, and efficiency.
• Collaborate effectively with remote cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers, via virtual communication tools.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation, technical specifications, and testing protocols.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, provide remote technical support, and contribute to design revisions based on feedback and testing results.
• Research and evaluate new technologies and components to enhance product capabilities and reduce costs.
