Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) seeks a Power System Engineer in Taylor, Texas (Remote) for a 12-month contract. You will provide electrical engineering analysis and support for interconnecting new generation resources, ensuring NERC compliance and reliable system operation.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, 0–2 years for entry/level 2, plus experience with PSSE, Python, VBA, and SQL-based tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes the results of power system studies and compares to operating data for standards compliance.
• Performs powerflow studies to analyze feasibility of proposed generation interconnections.
• Reviews interconnection applications for compliance with planning guides and protocols.
• Identifies process improvements for interconnection study workflows and data management.
• Communicates requirements and results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Tracks project milestones from study request through commercial operation.
