Job summary

Leidos Energy is seeking a Power Plant Subject Matter Expert (Electrical Engineer) to apply deep knowledge of electrical design, operation, maintenance and interconnection of power generation and substation assets. This role supports project managers during due diligence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities for career growth.

The position is fully remote for candidates located in the United States, with potential for travel to Denver, CO or Framingham, MA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with eight plus years of experience in electrical operation, maintenance and/or design of power generation and substation assets.
• Experience with a broad range of power generation technologies including wind, solar PV, battery energy storage, and thermal generation.
• PE licensure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design and interconnection review of power plant, substation, and transmission projects and prepare reports.
• Attend power plant, substation, and transmission project meetings to confirm status of E&C construction and operation and maintenance.
• Manage client engagements and ongoing relationships with private equity, infrastructure, hedge funds, banks, private developers, and DOE/EIA.
• Present work product results and findings to client executives.
• Conduct business development activities with clients and prospects.
• Support projects and team members, working independently and with colleagues.
• Develop and expand key client relationships.
