Job summary

Leidos Energy is seeking a Power Plant Subject Matter Expert (Electrical Engineer) to apply deep expertise in electrical design, construction, operation, maintenance, and interconnection of power generation assets. You will support due diligence, work in a fast-paced team, and coordinate with project managers and clients.

The role is fully remote within the United States, with possible preference for candidates near Denver, CO or Framingham, MA, and frequent interaction with private equity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years in electrical operation, maintenance and/or design of power generation and substation assets.
• Experience with wind, solar PV, battery storage systems, and thermal generation.
• Proven track record maintaining client relations with internal and external stakeholders.
• PE licensure preferred; working knowledge of AC/DC systems and protections.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design and interconnection reviews for power plant, substation, and transmission projects.
• Attend meetings to confirm status of site EIC construction and O&M.
• Manage client engagements with diverse investors, developers, banks, and advisors.
• Present work product and findings to client executives.
• Conduct business development with clients and prospects.
• Support projects and teams, collaborating with colleagues and managers.
• Develop and expand key client relationships.
