Zusammenfassung

ICF is seeking an Energy Markets Consultant / Senior Consultant for U.S. remote work with a preferred Reston, VA location. You will analyze power markets, develop forecasts, and support investment decisions in a broad set of U.S. markets, including interconnection and transmission assessments.

You’ll work with energy industry participants on assets, data center load growth, and energy transition initiatives, while collaborating to improve forecasting tools and client deliverables.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Operations Research, Mathematics, Energy Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using Excel and quantitative analysis tools.
• Experience with Python, R, SQL or similar programming languages.

Aufgaben

• Perform quantitative, economic, and technical analyses of U.S. power markets using market models, tools, and datasets.
• Develop long-term forecasts of energy, capacity, ancillary services, and renewables.
• Evaluate renewable energy, battery storage, transmission, and other investments.
• Analyze market fundamentals: load growth, fuel prices, transmission, retirements, policy changes, and new resources.
• Support interconnection and transmission analyses, including queue activity and project economics.
• Assist with asset valuations, financing analyses, and M&A support engagements.
• Collaborate to enhance forecasting methodologies, databases, and tools.
• Prepare client presentations and market insights for diverse audiences.
• Support business development through market research and proposals.
