Job summary

ICF is hiring for a Consultant/Senior Consultant in Interconnection & Transmission, with a focus on interconnection application support and studies in North American markets. The role offers Reston (preferred) or remote work and exposure to diverse clients.

You will participate in IA preparation, data validation, and tracking, while developing hands-on power system analysis skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support IA activities: preparation of materials, data validation, submissions and addressing deficiencies.
• Track IA milestones, study phases, schedules, data requests; maintain IA trackers and docs.
• Perform entry‑level analyses to support generator/load interconnection and transmission planning studies.
• Support power flow modeling and simulation under guidance from seniors.
• Help prepare client deliverables: memoranda, reports, presentations, data summaries.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support IA-related consulting across engagements.
• Stay current on interconnection rules, study processes, and regulatory developments across NA markets.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions and knowledge sharing.
