Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team of designers handling power utility and joint-use make-ready design projects. This working supervisor role combines leadership with hands-on design support.

Ideal candidates have direct make-ready experience, a track record in leading designers, and the ability to manage priorities, quality, and deadlines. Remote work is possible, with a two-week in-person orientation at Perrysburg, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Direct experience performing or overseeing power utility make-ready design.
• Experience leading make-ready designers as a team lead, supervisor, or manager.
• Working knowledge of utility-pole attachment clearances, pole loading concepts, and related standards.
• Ability to establish priorities, monitor quality, and mentor team members.
• Availability during core hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for a team of power make-ready designers.
• Perform technical make-ready design and project work alongside the team.
• Establish priorities, coordinate assignments, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review make-ready designs for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Provide technical guidance on joint-use poles, attachment clearances, and pole replacements.
• Support Project Manager and Project Engineer.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
