Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking a Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team supporting power utility and joint-use make-ready design projects. This working supervisor role combines daily team leadership with hands-on project support.

The ideal candidate has direct experience with make-ready design and prior leadership experience. The position may be fully remote, with an initial two-week in-person orientation at the Perrysburg, Ohio office.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with power utility make-ready design is required.
• Experience leading make-ready designers as a team lead, supervisor, or manager.
• willing to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends when needed.
• Ability to obtain background check and driving record; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for a team of power make-ready designers.
• Perform technical make-ready design and project work alongside staff.
• Set priorities, coordinate assignments, monitor progress, and meet deadlines.
• Review designs for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Provide technical guidance on joint-use poles, clearances, loading, and rearrangements.
• Support Project Manager and Project Engineer roles and activities.
• Help improve project procedures, workflows, and documentation.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members for professional development.
• Deliver annual performance reviews and provide feedback on performance.
