Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a systems engineer to support power electronics and grid-integrated systems across renewables and storage. You will develop and validate models in PSCAD/PSSE/PSLF, tune controllers, and assist customers with design, commissioning and troubleshooting.

Ideal candidates bring advanced degrees in electrical engineering and strong MATLAB, Python, and programming skills to deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions for domestic and international projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in electrical or electric power engineering.
• Bachelor’s in electrical or electric power engineering with 3 years of experience.
• Minimum 3 years in engineering and MATLAB, PSCAD, PSSE, PSLF, Python, C, C#.

Responsibilities

• Provide power electronics and power systems control analyses for renewables, BESS, STATCOMs, and large drives.
• Develop models in PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, PSCAD; tune controllers to meet grid codes.
• Support customers with design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and failure analyses.
• Contribute to product development and monitor evolving grid standards.
• Communicate analyses and solutions in detailed reports and presentations.
• Collaborate on domestic and international projects ensuring high quality deliverables.
• Participate in teams prioritizing teamwork, quality, and innovation.
