Job summary

GE Vernova seeks an experienced electrical engineer to advance power systems and power electronics across renewable generation, storage, and grid integration. You will model systems, tune controllers, and support customer projects from design through commissioning.

Applicants should have 3+ years in engineering with MATLAB, PSCAD, PSSE, PSLF, Python, and C/C++. PhD or Master’s degrees preferred; strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in electrical or electric power engineering, or related field of study.
• Bachelor's in electrical or electric power engineering with 3 years employment experience in related position will be considered.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an engineering field and in MATLAB, PSCAD, PSSE, PSLF, Python, C, C#.

Responsibilities

• Provide product development and technical analysis related to power electronic and power systems control of renewable generation and energy storage.
• Develop models in PSS/E, PSLF, PowerFactory, PSCAD and other modeling tools.
• Tune controllers to meet grid code performance requirements.
• Understand electrical characteristics of GE power electronics products and their integration to grids.
• Support customers with engineering expertise including design, commissioning support, troubleshooting and failure analyses.
• Contribute to development of transmission and distribution products in line with codes and standards.
