Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a motivated engineer to join the Grid Code Compliance team. You will work with power producers, utilities, and developers to analyze how generating facilities interact with the electrical grid, and to turn complex results into practical customer answers.

You will learn to analyze, test, and validate equipment performance, supporting engineering studies and model development across conventional and renewable generation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electric Power Eng.
• 0–2 years in Power Generation engineering or related field
• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship not provided at bachelor level
• Must be 18 years or older

Responsibilities

• Support and execute studies on generator performance, controls, and grid requirements
• Develop and validate electrical load flow and dynamic models for facilities
• Support testing and data collection at power plants
• Analyze test results to refine models and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and technical documents
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to troubleshoot problems
• Utilize industry software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, and MATLAB
• Increase ownership of technical tasks as knowledge grows
• Travel to customer sites when required
