Job summary

WSP seeks a Power & Energy Project Manager to lead high‑level technical projects within the Power & Energy Program Management Office in New York, NY, with consideration for additional US locations including Omaha, NE. The role travels to client sites and requires coordination across disciplines and teams.

The candidate will oversee project scope, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management, ensuring safety and QA/QC compliance, and will build strong client relationships while advancing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in A/E/C or related field.
  • 10+ years of post-education project management experience in the industry.
  • Experience managing projects through DBB, EPC, or PDB delivery models.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with all levels of management and disciplines throughout the project life cycle to support project cost and schedule objectives, both internally and within the client’s systems.
  • Lead the development of project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans
  • Oversee management of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management and control.
  • Provide regular project reporting and updates to clients, technical leads, and business leaders, identifying any emergent issues with scope, risk, and/or budget and mitigation strategies.
  • Be the face of WSP for the client. Develop and nurture strong, long‑term relationships with client by understanding their needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring consistent communication to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Adherence to proven processes and ability to develop new processes to standardize procedures.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and enforce project safety standards
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
