Job summary

WSP is seeking a Power & Energy Project Manager to lead high-level technical project delivery in a national scope. The role manages EHV transmission/substation projects, budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction, with travel to client sites as needed.

You will oversee lifecycle activities from proposal to closeout, mentoring mid-to-senior team members and ensuring QA/QC and safety compliance across projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Project Management or Construction Management or related technical discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of project management experience in the power/energy sector or similar.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management processes and diverse delivery models (DBB, EPC, PDB).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and business acumen to bridge business and project needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels.
  • Self-leadership with attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with management and disciplines throughout the project lifecycle to support cost and schedule objectives.
  • Lead development of proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management.
  • Provide regular project reporting to clients and leadership, identifying issues with scope, risk, or budget and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Adhere to QA/QC and safety standards and develop new processes to standardize procedures.
  • Operate within company policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
