Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Power Delivery Project Manager to oversee distribution resiliency projects across the region with remote or hybrid options. Travel to WSP/client offices for meetings is required.

You will supervise technical, administrative, and financial aspects across EPC delivery, QA/QC, and safety programs. The role requires 7–10+ years in power delivery or utility design, with strong stakeholder and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of relevant post-education experience in the Power Delivery/Utility Industry.
• Strong understanding of utility operations, power systems engineering, and electrical distribution design.
• Familiarity with NERC, IEEE standards, NEC codes, and utility regulatory requirements.
• Experience with EPC project delivery, capital programs, and infrastructure projects within the energy sector.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills in complex utility environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with utilities, clients, regulators, and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams delivering power distribution, substation, and utility engineering projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects including budgets, schedule, cost control, and resources.
• Develop and manage project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans for capital programs.
• Build and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with EPC delivery models.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
• Participate in proposal development, RFP responses, and business development in power/energy markets.
• Perform margin analysis, risk assessments, and contingency planning for large-scale projects.
• Coordinate contract negotiations and stakeholder meetings with utilities and regulators.
• Develop project plans including PMP, Safety Plans, Risk Management Plans, and QA/QC procedures.
• Collaborate with distribution design, protection & controls, relay systems, and grid automation teams.
• Partner with Project Accounting on forecasting, EVM, and profitability tracking.
• Lead change management, scope control, and claims mitigation.
• Staffing coordination for overhead/underground distribution, substations, and renewables.
