Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Power Delivery Project Manager to oversee distribution resiliency projects across the region with remote or hybrid working options. You’ll manage feasibility through closeout, ensuring compliance with NERC/IEEE/NEC standards, safety, and QA/QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10+ years post-education experience in Power Delivery/Utility.
• Strong understanding of utility operations and electrical distribution design.
• Familiarity with NERC, IEEE standards, NEC codes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with EPC project delivery and capital programs in energy sector.
• Proficiency with project management tools and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams delivering power distribution, substation, and utility engineering projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Develop and manage project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and resource plans for utility capital programs.
• Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with EPC delivery models.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements and safety protocols.
• Assist in proposal development, RFP responses, and business development within power & energy market.
• Perform margin analysis, risk assessments, and contingency planning for large projects.
• Coordinate contract negotiations, client presentations, and stakeholder meetings.
• Develop project plans including PMP, Safety Plans, Risk Management Plans, QA/QC procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on distribution design, protection & controls, relay systems, and grid automation.
• Coordinate with Project Accounting on forecasting, EVM, and profitability tracking.
• Lead change management, scope control, and claims mitigation.
• Staffing coordination for overhead/underground distribution projects and renewable interconnections.
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide reporting on project performance to clients and leadership.
• Oversee project closeout and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Stay current on power industry trends and electrification initiatives.
