Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a PowerBI Technical Administrator to ensure smooth operations of DW/BI environments. You will install, configure, and optimize BI software, manage data workflows, and secure user access across the system.

This fully remote role is based in the United States. You will build interactive dashboards, connect to multiple data sources, and collaborate with analysts and leadership to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or commensurate experience.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Build data models with Power Query (M) and DAX for accurate reporting.
• Connect Power BI to SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud sources, and APIs.
• Manage data refresh schedules, gateways, and permissions within Power BI Service.
• Analyze performance issues and optimize queries and data models.
• Collaborate with analysts, DB engineers, and leadership to define requirements.

Responsibilities

• Generates Ad-Hoc Power BI reports for stakeholders.
• Conducts Power BI training and instructor-led sessions.
• Installs and configures DW/BI software to meet enterprise needs.
• Continuously tunes DW/BI environment for performance.
• Manages user access and security in line with enterprise policies.
• Evaluates vendor updates and applies patches for security and support.
• Proposes changes to software/hardware for enhanced capabilities.
• Ensures ongoing operations through monitoring and patching.
• Supports role-based security administration.
• Performs upgrades to add features and improve security.
