Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. in Houston is seeking an Asset Management Program Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead multi-year, multi-site inspection and asset management programs for power generation assets.

You will own program execution, client coordination, and continuous improvement while overseeing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety. The role is primarily remote-based with periodic site visits and travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or a minimum of 10 years of asset management or project management experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in a consulting engineering or asset integrity environment.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries such as power generation, oil and gas, refining, chemical processing, manufacturing, steel, mining, or materials processing.
• Strong understanding of inspection planning, risk-based prioritization, asset lifecycle decision-making, and program governance.
• Proficiency with project management tools, project controls, and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and collaborate in a consulting environment.
• Ability to commute to local client facilities and travel occasionally to support other Orbital offices or programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year, multi-site inspection and asset management programs for power generation and other infrastructure assets.
• Own program execution, client coordination, and continuous improvement while managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, share inspection findings, and support client planning.
• Hire, supervise, and develop inspection and asset management staff; conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
• Plan and coordinate inspectors, program staff, and subcontractors; align activities with engineering interfaces.
• Review inspection reports and deliverables; lead inspection quality reviews and program status meetings.
