Job summary

Orbital Engineering, Inc. seeks an Asset Management Program Manager to lead multi-site inspection and asset management programs for manufacturing and specialty chemicals industries.

The role focuses on program execution, client coordination, and continuous improvement with a remote-first approach and periodic client visits across facilities in the US. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety, guide inspection strategies, and support capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of directly relevant Asset Management or Project Management experience.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries (power, oil & gas, refining, chemicals, manufacturing, steel, mining).
• Strong understanding of inspection planning, risk-based prioritization, asset lifecycle decisions, and program governance.
• Proficiency with project management tools, controls, and scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with operations, maintenance, engineering, and management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and collaborate in a consulting environment.
• Ability to commute to local client facilities and travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year, multi-site inspection and asset management programs.
• Own program execution, client coordination, and continuous improvement.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety of inspections.
• Coordinate with engineering interfaces and review reports for completeness.
• Lead inspections quality reviews and program status meetings.
• Develop scopes, execution strategies, schedules, and cost estimates for proposals.
