We are seeking a Policy Strategist to translate policy into actionable decisions and to support an integrated eligibility platform across application intake, notices, eligibility decisions, and case management. You will research Medicaid policy, work with product, design, and engineering teams, and help shape policy-driven system behavior while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years in policy analysis or related graduate experience
• Experience researching Medicaid policy and interpreting statutes
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in agile delivery and human-centered design
• Graduate degree in public policy or related field

Responsibilities

• Interpret policy findings to improve program processes, operations, or technology
• Identify policy questions, outline approaches, and advance work with limited definition
• Translate policy into system behavior, workflows and user experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement policy in tools and processes
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks and edge cases and propose compliant solutions
• Create policy briefs, decision frameworks, and process flows for decision-making
• Support testing and validation of policy implementations
• Conduct cross-jurisdictional research to monitor evolving policies and their implementation implications
• Build relationships with external partners to share Nava’s policy expertise
