Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Policy Strategist to analyze Medicaid policy and translate insights into practical recommendations.

You will independently research federal and state requirements, clarify priorities with a collaborative team, and develop concrete guidance to improve government program operations. You will stay current on policy trends, work across product, design, and engineering, and help ensure compliant, effective system behavior.

Formación

• At least 3 years of policy analysis experience or relevant graduate education.
• Hands-on research using statutes, regulations, or guidance and apply results to decisions.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in technical and policy contexts.
• Ability to document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy (applications, notices, appeals).
• Experience in agile delivery and human-centered design processes.
• Graduate degree in public policy or related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship needed.
• May be subject to government background check or security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret policy findings and translate into improved program processes, operations, or technology.
• Identify policy questions, propose approaches, and progress when work is not fully defined.
• Policy Translation & Implementation and partner with cross-functional teams to translate policy into system behavior.
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, ambiguities, and propose compliant solutions balancing user experience and delivery.
• Develop briefs, decision frameworks, and process flows to support decisionmaking.
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation, including scenarios and edge cases.
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research to inform implementation implications.
• Build relationships with external partners to share Nava’s policy expertise.
