Nava seeks a Policy Strategist to analyze Medicaid policy and translate findings into practical, implementable recommendations. You will independently research federal and state requirements, align priorities with teams, and stay current on policy trends to improve government programs.

In collaboration with product, design, and engineering, you will ensure compliant and effective system behavior, with focus on eligibility decisions and notices within an integrated platform.

Qualifikationen

• At least 3 years of experience in policy analysis, or a combination of relevant graduate-level education and experience.
• Hands-on experience researching and interpreting policy using statutes, regulations, or agency guidance and applying that analysis to programs or implementation decisions.
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical and policy contexts.
• Ability to document research processes, findings, and recommendations clearly and concisely.
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility and enrollment policy (applications, verification, renewals, notices, or appeals).
• Experience working within agile delivery and human-centered design processes.
• Graduate degree in public policy or related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not required.

• Policy Translation & Implementation
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate policy into system behavior, workflows, and user experiences
• Identify regulatory constraints, risks, and ambiguities and propose solutions balancing compliance and user experience
• Develop policy briefs, decision frameworks, and process flows to support decision-making
• Support testing and validation of policy implementation (scenarios and edge cases)
• Conduct landscape and cross-jurisdictional research to monitor evolving policies and implications for implementation
• Build relationships with external partners to exchange implementation lessons and opportunities
