Alliance for Wildfire Resilience seeks a Policy Associate, Wildfire to strengthen policy research and analysis on wildfire and related topics. The role writes white papers and briefs, analyzes federal actions, and informs partners with clear, persuasive materials.

Remote within the U.S., with travel as needed; 4–6 trips per year. Strong writing, research, and policy instincts are essential for informing wildfire risk reduction efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong qualitative research, analytical and writing skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects across teams.
• Interest in wildfire, natural resources or related policy areas.

Responsibilities

• Research and write reports, briefs, and policy products for wildfire policy.
• Monitor federal legislation and regulatory actions relevant to wildfire risk reduction.
• Collaborate with teams to translate complex topics into accessible analyses.
• Support strategy, grant reporting, and internal knowledge sharing.
