Resources Legacy Fund is seeking a Policy Associate, Wildfire to bolster policy research and analysis across wildfire, land management, and emergency response. The role develops white papers, issue briefs, and other analyses to inform AWR’s policy positions and support partners.

Qualifications

  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects across teams.
  • Experience researching wildfire, land management, emergency management, or related policy topics.
  • Experience drafting white papers, issue briefs, memos, and testimony.
  • Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Produce reports and policy materials (white papers, briefs) influencing wildfire policy debates.
  • Synthesize technical information into clear, accessible analysis.
  • Track federal legislation and regulatory developments and provide timely updates.
