Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Project Manager – Clinical Platform Program to lead technically complex bioinformatics and data‑driven initiatives that enable scalable genomic analysis and compliant reporting.

Partnering with lab operations, engineering, and leadership, you will translate workflows into executable project plans, manage risks and dependencies, and drive on‑time delivery while maintaining diagnostic quality and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, life sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience, focused on technical/software/dry lab projects.
• Experience supporting bioinformatics, data, or healthcare technology initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple technically complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including bioinformatics scientists and software engineers.
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, analytical workflows, and validation in regulated environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Familiar with Agile, hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of lab operations projects, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and in alignment with priorities.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, dependency maps, and risk registers to mitigate delivery, data, and validation risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive execution and accountability for deliverables.
• Translate complex analytical requirements into executable deliverables for scalable genomic analysis and reporting.
• Monitor project performance metrics to support leadership decisions and continuous improvement.
• Report project status, risks, and outcomes to program leadership with data-driven updates.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and data governance standards via documentation, audits, and validation activities.
• Perform other duties to support team and objectives.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
