Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Clinical Platform Program, driving technically complex bioinformatics and data-driven initiatives that improve diagnostic quality and operational efficiency. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, life sciences, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of project management experience with a focus on technical/software/dry lab projects, and 3+ years in bioinformatics or healthcare technology initiatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing data pipelines, analytics workflows, or laboratory informatics platforms.
• Experience with regulated environments and validation considerations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple technically complex projects and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of lab and bioinformatics projects, delivering milestones on time and within scope.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, risk registers, and dependency maps.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to drive execution and accountability for deliverables.
• Translate analytical requirements into executable project deliverables for scalable genomic analysis.
• Monitor project performance metrics to support leadership decisions.
• Report status, risks, and outcomes to program leadership with data-driven summaries.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and data-governance standards.
