Baylor Genetics is seeking an experienced Program Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional programs supporting strategic goals across product development, clinical operations, IT, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in regulated laboratory settings, strong leadership, and a track record delivering results in fast-paced, matrixed organizations. This role requires collaboration with executives and multiple departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Health Administration, Business, Engineering).
  • 8+ years in program/project management, including at least 3 years in healthcare, biotechnology, or diagnostic laboratory settings.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs involving complex systems integration and business process transformation.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, clinical testing processes, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft).
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives across multiple workstreams (e.g. revenue cycle management, product development, laboratory improvements, digital platforms).
  • Partner with cross functional leaders in product, clinical, lab operations, informatics, software engineering, regulatory and quality to define objectives, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Drive program governance through development of timelines, milestones, budgets, and reporting structures; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
  • Facilitate steering committee and stakeholder meetings, providing clear status updates, risk assessments, and decision requests.
  • Report program progress to executive leadership, including the CEO, through structured updates, dashboards, and strategic review
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks; escalation issues to maintain momentum
  • Manage dependencies and resource allocation across teams to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, Part 11) throughout the program lifecycle
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future initiatives.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to project teams within the initiative portfolio.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated laboratory environments, including diagnostics, genomics, or molecular testing.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level software implementations (e.g., ERP consolidations, master data management).
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting product development or commercialization of clinical laboratory tests.
