Job summary

PhoenixTeam is seeking a lead DevSecOps and platform engineer to modernize a federal platform that spans legacy and cloud layers. You will own CI/CD, environments as code, security automation, and AI-enabled workflows, operating inside federal constraints while delivering rapid, reliable deployments to the customer.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and partner with federal customers to ensure observability, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevSecOps and platform engineering for real production systems.
• Experience delivering inside regulated federal environments.
• Proven ability to lead engineers and drive architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and run CI/CD for multi-app deployments with minimal manual intervention.
• Build deployment automation and zero-downtime releases with safe verification.
• Automate environment provisioning and fight configuration drift.
• Embed security gates in the pipeline and remediate within 30/60/90 day windows.
• Build observability for full business transactions and incident diagnosis.
• Own incident management and disaster recovery for 24/7 operations.
• Lead and mentor engineers; set program engineering standards.
