Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Platform Engineer/Application Support Lead to drive production support and enablement across a large AWS enterprise. Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or HS diploma with 12+ years.
• 8+ years hands-on AWS experience across platform engineering, operations, networking and security.
• Strong experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, ELB/ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudWatch, OpenSearch.
• Observability experience with Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, OpenSearch.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible/Ansible Tower for IAC and config management.
• Hands-on incident command, RCA facilitation and remediation.
• Experience building self-service onboarding using Terraform and GitLab.
• Real-world CI/CD and progressive delivery experience.
• Proven senior technical or advisory track record and leadership.
• Leadership presence and communication with customers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical lead for production application support, guiding incident detection, triage, remediation and executive communication.
• Own emerging customer issues end-to-end with timelines and resolution ownership.
• Execute blameless RCAs and drive roadmaps for future changes with cross-functional teams.
• Develop self-service tooling and reusable Terraform modules to accelerate onboarding.
• Operate and improve CI/CD pipelines and observability across platforms.
