Job summary

Peraton seeks a Cloud Platform Technical Lead to drive innovation and collaboration across diverse teams, delivering mature cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS). You will design and implement advanced cloud initiatives, leverage Datadog or Dynatrace for observability, and communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Remote work with EST hours, strong leadership, and experience in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes (AWS EKS) are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust level clearance.
• Bachelor's (or higher) degree with extensive experience; 12+ years or 16+ years per seniority.
• 10+ years hands-on experience building/operating on AWS, DevSecOps, application development, networking, IT Security tools, databases and tools in a modern software development environment.
• One relevant AWS Certification: AWS Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Security Specialist, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
• Ability to work with Terraform for infrastructure as code solutions.
• Strong understanding of IAM roles and permissions.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based containerized applications (AWS EKS) including Spring Boot services.
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD including environments, feature flags, and DORA Metrics aggregation.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby).
• Strong leadership, communication skills and ability to translate complex tech to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Be a key technical leader to drive maturity of the Cloud Platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and lead CD of highly visible applications.
• Architect and implement transformation initiatives involving cloud platform technologies, AI, analytics, and digital solutions.
• Use observability tools to identify and troubleshoot issues and drive improvements.
• Lead Agile sprints to evolve processes, technologies, and improvements.
• Monitor and manage communications during high-impact events to customers and stakeholders.
• Draft technical approaches and RFIs aligned to roadmap and agenda.
• Create standard procedures for mitigations and incident response.
• Provide executive-level communication on status and risks.
